The initiative covers construction of school buildings, merit based scholarships, girl student scholarships, talent hunt, science-on-wheel project and training to teachers, leading to holistic development of students.Smart classes have been introduced for Digital Training, allowing for the curriculum to be taught with contemporary educational tools & techniques. LGUK, during the launch event in London in May 2016, raised requisite funds to sponsor redevelopment of infrastructure and systems of the Primary school in Patanvav village in Dhoraji district of Gujarat, India and the foundation was laid in a memorable ceremony on October 29, 2017 presided over by Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji of Annopam Mission. Life Global UK supports funding the Primary School Infrastructure Development Program of Life Education Centre of Project ’Life’ which has achieved development of 108 schools by end 2022 from the target of 121 with a track record of delivering a new school every 75 days since the project inception in 2001. The 108 schools benefit over 32000 students every year and will continue the benefit for next five decades. Life Global UK's contribution will help Project 'Life' in achieving the target of developing 121 schools keeping up with the deliverance of one school every alternate month. The programme took wings post the devastating earthquake in Gujarat on January 26 2001. The Centre identifies damaged & deteriorated school buildings in rural interiors needing reconstruction and transforms the existing infrastructure into new, modern, state-of the- art primary school in the first phase. In second phase, schools are delivered educational aid, teachers’ training programs, scholarships and extended support for holistic development of students, introducing smart classrooms and providing tablets and Wi-Fi capability for competitive and contemporary learning experience for children of rural areas helping them to move forward to higher education with ease. The programme is in conjunction with the Primary Education Department of Government of Gujarat, India and the schools are dedicated to people and handed over to the government for governance.

Life Global UK Women Empowerment Program

LGUK’s partner charity Project “Life’ initiated Life Women Empowerment Centre (LWEC) in 2008 with a vision to transform lives of less privileged women living below poverty line, providing hands on training for vocational skills such as sewing, embroidery, catering, beauty parlour practice and computer operations, suppliemented with the auxiliary lifestyle training and substantiated with free of cost, brand new trade equipment and kits for the beneficiaries. With the resolve to sponsor this women empowerment programme, LGUK, on International Women’s day 2020, raised adequate funds to sponsor training for 400 less fortunate women in productive vocations. Women empowerment initiative strives to improve human & social capital through economic freedom for less privileged women in villages and urban slums of Gujarat, helping them to become financially self-reliant, socially respectable and significant contributors to the welfare of their family, affording better access to health and education of their children. Women empowerment is about empowering rural women economically and socially, building a more robust, stable and powerful society, a cause championed globally. Beneficiaries are given supplementary training in self-defense, gender equality, banking, budgeting & finance and are further supported with market linkages, leading them to productive employment or own micro enterprise. LWEC have successfully trained 10,000 women by end 2022. Life Global UK's support will significantly contribute to achieving their target of empowering 15,000 women by 2025. Women are trained in batches of 25 in each skill for focused and efficient coaching. Sponsorship budget for one woman is only GBP 250.
